UBC BIZCHINA FORUM

Established in 2019, the UBC BizChina forum is an international platform for Sino- Canadian business exchange and cooperation. It addresses the current challenges and trends facing both the East and the West, involving students, scholars and professionals in in-depth discussions that offer valuable insights and new ideas for business development.

In 2019, we brought together 27 Chinese and Canadian industry leaders, 42 representatives from multinational corporations, and over 1,200 attendees from across Canada at the Vancouver Convention Center. The four-day online 2021 UBC BizChina Forum, which had the theme of "Resilience and Innovation," gained significant media exposure, with over 22,400 attendees on YouTube and 35,000 on Bilibili.

In the post-pandemic year of 2023, UBC BizChina Forum returned with the theme “Breakthrough,” covering panels like ESG, Fintech and Web 3.0. BizChina brought together over 40 professionals and an eager audience of 500+ attendees. The 2023 forum went above and beyond to create a comprehensive experience for attendees through panel discussions, networking sessions, and embedded case competitions.

The forums have showcased how businesses overcome barriers and set records in various fields, providing attendees with enriching and inspiring experiences. They have connected students with top industry leaders and allowed for discourse on complex international topics.

2025 UBC BIZCHINA FORUM REVIEW

The 2025 UBC China Forum took place on February 1st at the Robert H. Lee AlumniCentre, with three industry-specific panels. It aims to build the most professional and influential Chinese business forum in Canada to build a platform for academic exchange between Chinese and Canadian students, enterprises and outstanding talents. We had a diverse attendance of 200+ participants.
